There was the boy, there was the girl
He answered his father's name, she came from her mother's womb
He grew to be tall, she grew to be fair,
There was the lurking around of girls, there were pieces of notes in her bag.
He was searching, she was available
He donned the right clothes, she played with colours pretty
There was the swagger, there was the poise
Number one wrote all over him, number eight autographed on her.
He gave her his lines, she gave him her smiles
He built his talk with sugar, to her spine he sent cold shivers
He was simply irresistible, she had to please them both
He couldn't get sleeping, she couldn't stop talking.
He awoke from his slumber, she thought for a second
He began to have mixed feelings, she was neither here nor there
Acclaimed to be hot, adored to be alluring,
The apple of his eyes was eaten, her knight's shining armour was corroded.
He could take it no longer, she waited for the right time
He wanted to discard, she was a freedom fighter
He brought out his joker, she hastily gave him her red;
He wanted them to part, she said que sera, sera!
